A wander up to Lochnagar today.

Lochnagar summit with False Corrie icefalls.

Lochnagar Crags.

Raeburns Gully.

There’s not much in the way of cornices left, however certain routes will have awkward/insecure exits.

South Sector.

Walkers on plateau…

…and arriving at summit. The Cairngorms in the distance. Still very much Winter above 900 metres.

Underfoot instabilities. This was not extensive, restricted to steep and sheltered of areas.

The Stuic. Older avalanches evident.
