All change.

5th April 2024

It was windy and snowing in the glens first thing this morning, not the most appealing of days. However visibility gradually improved and the winds eased so it turned out okay. Not sure how long the Wintery landscape will last, it was already 0 degrees mid-afternoon  and climbing. The snow was disappearing fast as I came down.

Lochnagar will look a bit different tomorrow after the incoming rain and mild temps, courtesy of Storm Kathleen, but it looks like it’ll become a bit cooler again Sunday.

Another long walk today. Yesterday’s tracks had disappeared and the odd deep drift was encountered. On the return the snow was already thawing, slushy around 700 metres.

Windy overnight with deeper deposits in places. Very light winds when I was at the col.

The main corrie. Lots of snowed up rock.

The South Sector.
