Wet and windy.

3rd February 2022

It was a mild, wet and windy day. Perhaps the most rain we’ve seen for a while.

Looking a bit cooler tomorrow with some light snowfall.

Todays venue was at Lochan Uaine (top left) on the side of Derry Cairngorm. A fairly wild and rarely visited corrie.

A wet walk through the woods of Glen Derry.

James in the Corrie. There was evidence of older avalanches on some of the slopes.

Despite a stable melt freeze snowpack we continue to collect info for our records.

The winds were very strong, straight in our face on the way back.
