It’s a start….

5th February 2022

Well it definitely felt like Winter above 800 metres today with strong winds and drifting snow. Hood up and goggles on! Accumulations were fairly localised during the morning and early afternoon but depth and distribution will continue to develop during the next 24 hour period. I’m not going to mention what is happening on Monday  – You can look that bad news up yourselves!

Photo opportunities were very limited today as there was no visibility above 900m.

About as good as the visibility got at 900m. Some shallow accumulations but also wind scoured terrain.

Slightly better visibility at 800m but fairly cosmetic snow covering.

Some localised deeper accumulations are starting to form.
