Firm surface.

22nd February 2022

Another windy day with several gusts above 70 mph recorded, however unlike yesterday there was very little snow blowing around. This was due to a thaw/freeze cycle which left the majority of the snowpack with a firmer surface crust.

Wednesday will be another windy day accompanied with snow showers throughout the day.

The ski area of Corrie Fionn, The Cairnwell and beyond.

Across the Garbh Corrie toward Cairn o Claise. Good coverage, windward ridges and  slopes are often scoured.

The hill of Morrone (with the ariels on it) and behind it, Beinn a Bhuird looking very white.
