Cloudy.

7th February 2022

Not a great day for observations today with the cloud base around 700 metres or so but perhaps not quite as windy as expected. Likely to loose superficial cover tonight with milder temps and rain but looking cooler tomorrow (Tuesday) as the freezing level drops again. Going to be very windy again!

Conditions

There was a light covering of snow over the hill today with isolated deeper areas of softer snow found in wind sheltered locations.

Alison making her way through Corrie Fionn. With todays avalanche forecast at Moderate and poor visibility we needed to be aware of potential hazard underfoot and also above us.

conditions

Around 1000 metres on the Glas Maol plateau early afternoon. Wet and windy!
