The Scottish Avalanche Information Service issues information to support permitted activity under current Scottish Government guidance.  Please be aware of travel restrictions within Scotland and respect local communities by referring to Scottish Government guidance and how to participate safely by referring to Mountaineering Scotland guidance.
The general consensus from the Weather Gurus is for it to stay cold over the coming week so the snow we have is here to stay for a while. There is a really mixture out there from deep soft snow to icy scoured areas as Kenny’s photos show below:  Skis were definitely the chosen mode of travel today with about 95% of hill goers seen today out on skis.
