Blue sky!

12th February 2020

The snowpack distribution is varied. Deep accumulations in any lee location, scoured elsewhere. Plenty route choices to be made on ski or on foot.

Glenshee Ski Centre looking good. Best runs around the Butcharts areas. Wasn’t too long before the side piste was getting some serious attention.

The snow cover is very variable. Tends to be good or little depth. A group of mountain hares enjoying their lunch.

Although not as bad as yesterday there was still plenty snow blowing around.

Mountain hare raised footprints.

Overall stability better than yesterday but there are still weak layers within the snowpack.
