Lochnagar

5th April 2019

The Lochnagar to Glenshee hills may have had less new snow than the main Cairngorms recently but it was still a flog from Gelder Shiel to Lochnagar today as I managed to fall in most of the streams and rock gaps on the way. It was cold ascending in the strong winds and clouds but felt a different day when descending in the sun.

A nice start to the day at lower levels. Cnapan Nathraichean 824 metres.

Not so nice looking towards Lochnagar from Gelder Shiel.

Lochnagar and the Southern Sector.

The main crags, still in cloud late morning.
