Some rain, some snow.

6th February 2019

As forecast the freezing level did rise overnight. Unfortunately we did also have some rain, the snow cover looked a little thinner in most locations this morning. However it did cool down and there was  snow showers in the afternoon. Hopefully, more snow tonight into tomorrow morning, winds likely to be strong at times.

Lochnagar. Noticably thinner snow at lower levels. Thaw/freeze should have helped the mixed climbing conditions.

View over to Culardoch. Still looks good on these Southerly aspects.

Cloudy later in the day with snowfall early afternoon. There has been some consolidation today but some older instabilities persist and new accumulations were starting to develop.

Glenshee Ski Centre has their transceiver park up and running. A great opportunity for you to practice searching for single and multiple units.
