Continuing cold.

17th January 2019

At last it looks like we’ll have winter around for a while now. Generally very thin cover at the moment but hopefully we’ll see that develop in coming days.

The A93 at the ski centre. Good to see the snow back, still a way to go before skiing can commence.

Deer, forced from the higher ground by snow and strong winds.

Any ground exposed to the strong winds was stripped of snow.

Walkers on the Glas Maol path. These aspects were subject to strong winds.

Higher on the hill the winds were still very strong this morning.Craig Leacach in the background.

Clearing as the day went on. Lee aspects( facing the camera) looked white but cover is still thin.
