Mild and misty…

30th December 2018

Rookie error today – If you get a decent view – Take the shot! I left it too late today and the cloud rolled in when I wasn’t looking… It was thick enough to produce a heavy drizzle and combined with a strong wind at altitude it wasn’t that inspiring a day. However that didn’t stop a lot of people getting out to burn some Christmas calories – all the usual car parks had plenty of vehicles in them. It looks like it is going to be quite a windy day tomorrow at summit level and is forecast to be foggy all day – Getting colder on Tuesday though.

Sheltered Northerly aspects holding some deeper snow.

Some larger snow patches are still quite firm in places despite the mild temperatures.

Exposed locations at 900 metres almost devoid of snow.
