It’s snowing….

Pretty blowy in the Corrie of Lochnagar today. Conditions are lean at the moment but everything is frozen solid and the snow has a hard icy surface. All change tonight though as we have been forecast 48cm of snow on storm force winds. This will amount to deep drifted deposits in sheltered locations. Staying fairly windy at times tomorrow so any loose snow will continue to drift even after the snowfall has ceased.
Steel avalanche probes being bent in the wind. Lochnagar lochans starting to freeze up.

Icy paths will become ‘interesting’ with a thin layer of snow to hide them…
