Yet another poor visibility day.

10th March 2018

This morning wasn’t as bad as we thought it was going to be but above 850 metres it was back to strong winds and poor visibility. Of course it started to improve slightly in the afternoon as we came down!

Sunday’s weather looks like it’ll be better but it will be milder. Currently we have a lot of cornices at lower levels which will be prone to collapse.

At Glenshee Ski Centre the Ski patrol have the Glas Maol runs closed, new windslab was forming the strong winds on West aspects again.

Visibility was generally poor and the winds strong. The ski’s were briefly off for a quick look on a West facing feature.

Some areas were very windy. Back to the ski’s and down for tea!
