An improving day.

17th March 2018

A similar day to yesterday, cold, windy with some new snow. However the clouds lifted to around 950 metres mid-morning and we could actually see! Hopefully visibility will remain good tomorrow.

Unfortunately the roads to Glenshee were difficult due to drifting snow. The North side was only opened from mid-morning.

Underfoot is a mix of soft snow or hard ice, certainly requires caution on any steeper slopes.

Definitely been windy and cold! Sideways icicles on a ski hut.

Underfoot was a mix of soft snow or very hard ice, (the darker grey patches).

The cloud gradually lifted to around 950 metres.

The poor weather has forced deer down into the Glens.
