Perfect Day

11th January 2018

Today was a beautiful day with practically no wind and with early morning cloud lifting to give a blue sky day. No shell, no hat, no gloves – just sunglasses and a big smile. Pay back for multiple days in ‘The White Room’.

I was very lucky to have some company today with members of Police Scotland and Braemar MR teams out training. Complete bonus – trail breaking sorted – On you go lads! Lower down the ground isn’t frozen and the snow was quite wet and soft which meant occasionally breaking through to very wet ground. Higher up the snow firms up and there is still a (breakable) crust on the surface.

Unfortunately it looks like this calm weather is going to break down with some very unsettled and extremely windy weather heading our way for the weekend…

Cracking day for flying

Very nice men with big rucksacks broke trail for me today!
