Overnight snow

30th December 2017

Once again, we didn’t quite get the amount of snow that was expected… There is now a general thin covering of snow on all aspects from 600 metres with occasional deeper accumulations in places.

It was a day of poor visibility with some precipitation arriving during the early afternoon. The winds had been pleasantly light but they did increase as the precipitation arrived.

We have been forecast some more snow overnight on variable strong winds so we are going to see a more complicated situation develop in terms of stability. Take care out there….

It was a day of very poor visibility and flat light so particularly poor photos today – sorry!

Rimed fence posts at 1000m.

Cloud pushing in from the SW. The view disappeared completely very shortly after this!
