A cloudy morning.

28th March 2017

It was a cloudy morning but the cover broke up leaving a clear and warm afternoon. With the freezing level briefly around the higher summits  the broken snow cover was much firmer when we were out.

No skier’s at Glenshee……only Ptarmigans.

Summit of Glas Maol. Not much to see here in the morning.

The snow cover is very broken.  Greatest amounts are in the North to East facing corries.

Cloud started to break up mid morning, giving another clear and warm afternoon.

It wasn’t too long after this that the clouds completely cleared. Looking across to Cairn Toul and Breariach.
