Staying cold…

It was a very cold night with temperatures dipping to minus 6 at 930 metres in the early hours. By morning there was a lot of water ice on tracks and paths with a glaze of verglas on boulders in streams making burn crossings entertaining.
Initially it looked like it was going to be a stunning blue sky day but banks of cloud blew in during the morning. The wind chill effect was once again quite significant and you couldn’t leave skin exposed for too long.
It looks like similar weather for tomorrow …
