Inversion conditions.

20th January 2017

A plod up Ben MacDui today. Very cold and cloudy the Glens first thing, sunny and no wind higher up.

Sun breaking through the clouds in the Glens.

The Sron Riach path to Ben MacDui

The crags of Sron Riach. Little in the way of cornices, some older debris on the slopes.

A frozen Lochan Uaine. Its quite common here for avalanches regularly to run onto the Loch, as seen on the left of the loch.

A snowless plateau. Cairn Toul and Braeriach beyond.

Ben MacDui with Lochnagar in the distance.
