A great afternoon.

24th February 2013

Not too many changes in the snowpack although facets continue to develop under the hard icy crust. It was a cracking afternoon, with piste skiers/tourers and walkers enjoying the afternoon sun.
Today was the last of the Freeriders Courses –  http://www.sais.gov.uk/newsarticle.asp?id=6306
The course was hosted at Glenshee with Iain and Mark at the helm. They had some luck with the weather, cloudy/light snow when they were indoors but it was a rather stunning afternoon when participants got to play outside.
Lecture and theory in the morning…….
………intro to equipment was outside.

Glenshee piste machines made an ‘avalanche site’ to give participants a feel for the real thing.

 All gone to play.
