Hunt for Surface Hoar

The search for buried surface hoar went round the 850-900 metre contour on nearly all aspects. But none was found. The snowpack temperatures are still cool and preserving facets, so there may be some buried surface out there.
The photo at the profile site shows how the crystal screen can highlight changes in the layers.
