Snow or no snow? Place your bets.

9th February 2009

Cold and calm day with tops in the cloud.

Getting around the hills is still a painful experience. There has been some consolidation, the winds have been variable. Our machine on Cairnwell showed a gust of 69mph from the South but there appeared to be not any real redistribution so I checked with the ski area, I think the cold may have got to our machine! There is a lot of ice on the mast.

Down to -15 in some valleys, -8.7 summit Cairnwell.
Another complex front coming. we may get some snow – or we may not, best checking weather updates.
The skiing is good at Glenshee, good time to brush up those telemark skills. off piste watch out for that ice, plenty of it.
