Winter returns.

3rd January 2008

At last! Felt like winter got going today. We’ve got a general covering, not enough for skis yet but given we had nothing yesterday – it’s a good start.

Some sheltered areas have deep drifts, almost certainly some gullies will have had enough to avalanche today. We’re likely to get more snow tomorrow but it’s also due to get very windy.
It was around -5 t 900 metres, ice was forming well, buried by snow in some places.

Paul.
