NO WIND!

10th January 2008

The road to Glenshee was again closed for a few hours this morning while the big cutter got on site. The recent high winds had filled in the top section. Its now open.

For the first time this season we used the uplift to go over the back. It snowed all day and the light was very flat with the visibility poor. Didn’t care because there was no wind! Some very deep drifts around, pretty icy or stipped where exposed to the winds.
Traveling around in poor visibility requires care and some forethought . Notice the cracking above Sam. It extends for 15 metres behind her. I thought to send Sam first.
We really enjoyed the ski back through the pistes. The ski-ing is fantastic just now.
