Nothing to see here….

13th March 2022

As Obi-Wan said “Nothing to see here….move along”

Exactly my thoughts Obi-Wan – One of those days to just keep moving along…. Absolutely no visibility with precipitation from the outset, falling as rain first, then very wet snow above 800 metres on gale force winds – super unpleasant. The burns had dropped overnight but were rising again this afternoon. Lots of soft wet snow around – horrible to be on as you never know what you are walking over – resulted in multiple full leg plunges into oblivion in the Lochnagar boulders.

A little bit cooler tonight but then the freezing level will once again rise up to just below the highest summits. There is the quietest of whispers that high pressure may be returning later on in the week – Yes Please!

Sorry – awful photos today – a very wet lens most of the time….

Some wet debris out of Raeburn’s or Black Spout. Wet snowfall, didn’t settle at this altitude.

Lochnagar Burn flows into Gelder Burn, pictured – Say good bye to your snow….  Rain spot centre lens!

Hey Dubh – Let’s make like good shepherds and get the flock out of here!
