Cold and clear at times.

25th December 2019

There was a bit of cloud around the summits today but it occasionally cleared with sunny spells.

Very cold overnight but slowly warming. The older snow is very firm and icy.

It was a very cold start to the day but gradually warming throughout. Many paths are very icy.

Cold overnight with widespread surface hoar.

A well filled burn line.

A layer of soft snow on most aspects.

A view down towards the Dubh Loch.

Older surface instabilities around 950 metres caused by a recent rise in freezing levels.

Despite the cold not everywhere had frozen.
