A quick thaw?

Quite a bit of new snow has been accumulating in sheltered areas over the last 48 hours or so. Has definitely helped as we were definitely heading to ‘spring’ mode. Corries are still in good nick and there is still good touring to be had. We’re going to lose some snow over the next period but it is likely to be colder later this week.
Sheltered areas have accumulated reasonable new snow depth over the last 48 hours. New snow on older firm snow, 280 cm total depth.
Ptarmigans finding it a bit easier to find food on broken ground.
