Colder!

10th March 2025

Winter is trying to return, temperatures dropped overnight and some squally showers arrived this morning to give a light dusting of snow on the Glenshee ski area.

(Above) A lone patch of snow on a Southerly aspect.

(Above) After further investigation I suspect it was an accumulation zone to survive the recent thaw. Either from a small avalanche or eddying winds. It was a good reminder that bench like terrain features underneath an avalanche path are to be avoided.
