Deer, Dubh Loch, Loch Muick

8th March 2025

After a mild night (plus 5 at 930m) and some rain, it was a calm and cloudy morning. Conditions gradually improved from mid to late morning with the cloud slowly lifting and the sun breaking through. Very mild though, with plus 7 degrees recorded at 930m during the afternoon. The remaining snow continues to slowly thaw and diminish in area. Remaining mild tomorrow with a good deal of sunshine before there is a marked return to much colder conditions with some light snowfall promised for the mountains. Enjoy Spring on Sunday before Winter returns to the hills next week.

Early start this morning had the bonus meeting with this chap
