More sunshine!

13th February 2026

We were spoiled by yet another brilliant day. Lots of ski tourers out and about with plenty of nice lines being skied. Travel is quick on the firm and icy snow (inc. walking) with windslab rapidly becoming more restricted to very wind sheltered locations.

Saturday forecast looks good but just to flag up heavy snowfall is due to arrive in the area on Saturday night. Sunday may be a challenge, worth checking the latest forecasts.

Lots of skiers enjoyed the Middle Valley today. Some great indications for previous wind direction. Ski area was very busy early on.

Weapon of choice for transportation today! Thanks to Dave.

Two skiers descending into Caenlochan.

Steady drifting in the strong Northerly winds.

Looking towards Cairn O Claise with ski tourers above the Garbh Corrie. Great cover, again, very firm and icy where exposed to the winds.
