Lochnagar, hide and seek.
3rd April 2015
Very cloudy start to the day, which broke up a bit but not by much. It is due to become milder tomorrow but it is still very much winter in the hills with a good covering of snow and weak layers in deep windslab above 850 metres.
As forecast, a claggy start to the day. Gelder shiel, Lochnagar in the cloud.
Things looking up when I arrived at the Corrie, however that was as good as it got all morning.
Rescue box well buried.
Loch still frozen but looks like it could get quite mild over the weekend.
A mountain hare crossing some debris on the crag apron. There seem to be quite a few hares in the Corrie at the moment.
