Up to the Hutchison Hut.
2nd January 2025
Decided to stay low today. Always great to wander up to the Hutchison Hut. Although there appears to be a good covering of snow from the Glens, it’s mostly just thin powdery snow in the heather with a few deep drifts. Southerly aspects appear to be holding the deepest accumulations but even round there it’s not extensive. Always nice to see Winter return again.

Looking up Glen Derry towards Larig a Laugh. Felt a long way to the hut, powder snow just covering thin ice. Burns are icy and tricky to cross.

Over the bridge. Snow showers all morning but dry in the afternoon. Very windy (again) in exposed locations.

The Etchachan Corrie crags. There was a lot of ice forming around watercourses but crag was a bit dry.
