Lochnagar

21st December 2013

Couldn’t help but notice the amount of water heading for Aberdeen today. However it wasn’t all bad news for the snow, it’s definitely winter up there! Last nights thaw was pretty severe  but the freezing level was dropping and it was snowing most of the day. Snow cover is building, tops of gullies are filling in, still way off ski touring but getting closer to climbing.  Its all going the right way…………….hopefully not to Aberdeen.
PS-I really don’t enjoy having to wade through the stream.
Tops of gullies are filling.

Got a quick glimpse of the crags on the way down.
 Due another freeze tomorrow.
