Mild!
16th January 2017
It’s not often that a single base layer with  no hat or gloves is sufficient at 1000 metres in Scotland in January – but it was perfectly adequate today – and sunglasses would have been a definite advantage! We’ve lost an awful lot of snow in the past 36 hours with North and West aspects in particular looking bare. North-East, East, South-East and Southerly aspects all have areas where there is some quite deep snow, mostly above 900 metres. It looks set to be very mild again tomorrow so the thaw is set to continue.
