Stormy weather expected.

3rd April 2026

It was a pleasant walk up to Lochnagar past the Glas Allt waterfalls today. Only a little snowfall overnight with moderate winds.

Tomorrows forecast is fairly calm to start with but will see strong winds and snowfall in the afternoon with a Moderate avalanche hazard developing. Winter is still not finished yet!

North-West aspects above the Glas Allt had caught some new snow.

Corrie an Daimh Mhoile at the end of the Glas Allt has held snow all season.

A covering of new snow on the climb onto the plateau on Lochnagar.

Many gullies are still complete around the Corrie. Tomorrow afternoon new windslab will develop around the corrie rims in current forecast.

Southern Sector. Not much left on the plateau now.

Across to the West Buttress. The classic Black Spout Gully remains complete.
