wet and Windy.
9th March 2026
A pretty miserable morning followed by a lovely afternoon. The snow cover is a mix of soft snow, generally shallow with isolated deeper pockets and old hard snow-ice. Despite the milder temps and rain it was still very hard and icy above 800 metres.
The footpath to the t-Saigairt Col. Ridges have little snow on them. Burn lines like this on upper right still holding plenty of old hard snow-ice.
Passing the wing of a Canberra on t-Saiggairt Mor. More here about it – https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/21102
