Lochnagar.

With a slow thaw in progress the rivers were in full flow today. There was a promise of some limited visibility so I headed towards Gelder and up towards Lochnagar corrie.
Passing Corrie Saobhaide, also known as the False/Hidden corrie, the cloud lifted slightly. Snow was soft as you can see from Rogues track. Not much to see in the main corrie, sorry!
Avalanches, probably from the last 24 hours or so, were noted at South Sector Lochnagar. Biggest from Central gully area, finishing above the approach path.
Cloud remained around the hills but lifted down the glens. Nice rainbow above the bothy on the way out.
