Good snow coverage.

19th January 2026

Quite cloudy today but there were some sunny breaks. The snowpack is generally firm, becoming icy in some locations.

Strengthening winds tomorrow, Wednesday looks very stormy, potentially going cold after that.

Lone walker on Glas Maol. Good snow coverage above 850 metres.

The snowpack is crusty with icy areas.

Looking towards Ben Avon from Braemar.

    Hi Paul,
Great to see you out and about and looking well. Keep at it you eighteen year old
We’ll maybe manage that coffee one of these days.
Reports a vital daily read and blog photos always useful. As you say, good snow pack at altitude with some interesting layering.
    Cheers
    AC
