Above the cloud

28th December 2025

Driving along the A93 today it was hard to keep the faith – thick cloud covered the area and it was cold and damp. Just as we climbed up to the Glenshee Ski Centre, the cloud started to thin and we broke out into blue sky and sunshine. Very light winds made for a calm and pleasant day to be out. The lower hills south of the River Dee have no or very small areas of snow and it is generally only the 1000 metre plus summits that have any. No change expected in the next couple of days.

Good visibility when above the cloud.

The factory snow was popular with children sledging and beginners ski lessons.
