A wild day.

7th April 2022

It was a cold and wild day on the hill today. We had the heaviest snowfalls of the week overnight/this morning but this was accompanied with the strongest winds as well! With a couple gusts in excess of Eighty mph the snow was often blown from the hill leaving deposits in the most wind sheltered areas. Definitely a Winters day.

Plenty snow from 600 metres. Snow showers did start to ease late morning and the winds in the afternoon.

New drifts formed in any lee location otherwise the snow was basted from the hill.

Looking onto a sheltered Southerly aspect around 900 metres. Up to half metre of windslab but very localised. Hills well blasted in the background.
