Snowfall and strong winds forecast.

27th March 2026

Largely dry and bright today, just the occasional hail shower to endure. Full kudos to the hill runner in shorts who visited the summit, must have stung a bit! Tomorrow, Saturday is forecast to be cold with new snowfall and very strong winds. Winter is not going away yet!

Two walkers on the ridge. Still fairly extensive snow coverage in N to E facing corries.

A walker on the Ladders route. Old snow is expected to be firm and icy. Very unforgiving in the event of a trip or slip on steep terrain.

The main Corrie today.
