Remaining mild

20th March 2026

Another dry, bright and sunny day with minimal winds and the odd cloud lingering.  Midday temperature on Cairnwell was 7 degrees.  Although mild the snow cover remains good in high coires; soft in nature except for shady locations where it remains firmer.  Snow stability is good with rock fall and residual cornice collapses remaining a threat especially where exposed to direct sunlight.
