Beinn a’Bhuird

19th March 2026

Another very sunny, warm and calm day in the Southern Cairngorms.  Spring like in the glens but plenty of snow at higher elevations.  The snowpack continues to consolidate, refreezing overnight and gently softening through the day – accelerated where exposed to direct sun.  Stability is generally good in all locations.  Photos from the Beinn a’Bhuird plateau.
