The gift that keeps on giving.

After yesterday’s brief ‘nice weather interlude’ it was back to usual business with snowfall, SE winds and no visibility, although to be fair it did lift to 800 metres a couple times.

I had a shuffle on the ski’s up Cairnwell, can confirm its slow going in the current poor visibility!

More of the same tomorrow, snowfall will be heaviest in the afternoon.

 New unstable windslab forming on a Westerly aspect. There was some consolidation of earlier deposits that were subject to a brief thaw, the snow below this was now holding my weight well, good job as it was over 3 metres deep!

 

You can just about see Loch Vrotachan if you squint your eyes enough! Great cover for skiing but without any visibility it would be a poor outing.
