Winters return?

31st December 2025

A bright and breezy day today. Cold as well, around -10 in Braemar last night and a high wind chill today. It’s likely tomorrow will be difficult day on the hill with snowfall and gale force winds. Currently there is some uncertainty  over the snowfall amounts but it’s likely we should see snowfall throughout the next 48 hours. Worth keeping up to date with forecasts and road disruption if you expect to travel.

Light snow cover above 700 metres..

Looking over to Corrie Fionn. Old snow around the Corrie rim is hard and icy.

Garbh Corrie, Carn O Claise.

The Cairnwell and but charts, Glenshee Ski Centre. Hopefully this area might catch new snow over next days.
