Rinse, Repeat

14th December 2025

Mild, wet and very windy with poor visibility above 850 metres….again! Walked in and saw very little, got blown around in a boulder field… and ran away!
It was very mild today with plus 6 degrees recorded at 850 metres. The snow is thawing with snow patches reducing in the mild and wet weather.

Monday and Tuesday look set to be a bit colder which will help slow the thaw rate. Second half of the week looks a bit milder so no major change expected in the near future.

Apologies, today’s photos are as poor as yesterday’s. Looking a bit clearer for tomorrow – so hoping for a better offering.

Avoidable snow patch at 850m, East aspect.

Poor visibility in Lochnagar. Snow loss occurring in mild conditions.
