Memories…

Just as a wee reminder of why we love our hills so much, I have added a couple of photos from 19th March 2020 – I couldn’t match the exact date 5 years ago as Covid 19 changed everything that year…

Today wasn’t as cloudy as yesterday so we did get some visibility at times. We had some precipitation overnight but the freezing level gently rose to the summits or just over during the day so the remaining snow was slowly thawing.

It’s due to get milder again tomorrow so the slow thaw will continue for a couple of days…

Still large areas of snow in the main Cairngorms, but diminished from last week.

Gradually changing colour – but not quite quickly enough for this ‘winter’

Better camouflaged than the Mountain hare..
