Little Cairngorm

9th February 2025

Little Cairngorm (1040m) is a subsidiary peak off of its much famous neighbour, Derry Cairngorm. Along with Carn Crom (890m), these 2 peaks provide excellent views into the heart of the main Cairngorm massif.  Not much is happening to the snowpack which remains very firm and any residual instabilities within the snowpack are currently well bridged.  Not expecting much change over the next 24 hours.

Carn Crom (890m) in the centre.

Garbh Coire and Coire Bhrochain of Braeriach fame. The ridge in the foreground forms part of Sron Riach.
