Dubh Loch

8th February 2025

The cloud lingered all day around the Loch Muick area, especially above 700 metres.  Thankfully, a very brief clearing enabled some worthwhile photos.

With the exception of an overnight snow flurry to all levels, there hasn’t been much change to the snow since yesterday.  Therefore, these photos will still be a fair representation of the existing snow cover.  The old snow remains very firm and icy with some instabilities lingering on mainly North to East aspects above 900 metres.

An overnight dusting of fresh snow to all levels.

Dubh Loch and the Creag an Dubh-loch crags.

Central Slabs, Central Gully Wall and False Gully wall.
